Is there any App for let the cabdriver know how long is the waiting time before entering to the taxi holding lot at the Airport to get any fare?
there is no more business i don’t know why,there is still lot of thief in Jfk N lagaurdia,
I stopped going to jfk !!.Business too slow,Dispatchers so rude,Bad coffee ,mean food. and expensive,!55$ to jfk and you loose 5 hours of work and driving under stress with vanwick exp and LIE traffic is just not worth it..
Laguardia is the best to serve ,not far away from city and you got plenty of options to reach your destination,and once you got a shorty you go back fast .terminal c and d run fast with two options c or d.
what I dont like there is the quality of the coffee and food .they sell us garbage. . buy your food before coming to jfk or laguardia lot.
Also ,Tlc has to develope an Airport App,So I can stand anywhere ,and once I get a call from a terminal dispatcher and go there within a certain time depending on my location .
passenger have to be able to book a taxi inside the terminal with a certain fee ,and have the receipt taken to a nearest dispatcher .
dispatcher will have ready screen account for number of passengers who registered and call for a certain number of taxis.
So passengers also can use an app called Taxi jfk app or lguardia app.
then dispatcher connects with taxis.
this system will put less pressure on both laguardia and jfk regarding to traffic and polution idling . and drivers will be less stressed and will be happy to stand anywhere they like .
The advantage is that I know I get a trip if Iam called by a dispatcher app.
But taxi lots must not be used for any other services or a new projects other than taxis, and must be used only and only for taxis in case of a digital wireless disaster.or high valume demand.
Cool comments, I like that. Every driver should be involved to make this job more exciting. Working long hours for slave wages aren’t fun! Top of that, cabbies are getting summonsed again at Penn Station, P.A. and just about anywhere.
Do not go to Penn Station! It ‘s a hot zone to get summons!

He’s more than 12″from the curb. Suspend him. Yellow drivers bringing in $100 less per shift. No more Hoboken, Jersey City, Bay Ridge,Whitestone etc. Mostly short trips at 80c a pop. 2 hour wait at JFK.
What is going on with the fuqin business,there is nothing out there.UBER screwed everybody.Are we human ?do you feel the pain?can you pay your apartment rent?can you get food on the table?can you pay for a morgage?can you put your kids into school?can you pay off your dept?can you take a vacation?can you save some money?can you buy a gift for your loved ones?can you live breath?
SO if you answered no to all these question ,what are we waiting for?
let get rid off all these none sense policies that put yellow cab drivers into a black hole.and blame too the theives or the garages that charge same lease as of 2005 as nothing happened in the market.

To Meter Peter; that traffic cop scanned that and another cabs for being in the No Standing zone, about 40 feet, but the rest of the lane is Taxi Stand anyway from 31st street to 33rd street, except that small section (@40 feet) That black Toyota is TLC plated Uber cab dropped his passenger off front of me, way more than 12″ from the curb. Since I saw what’s going on, I took a picture! If you do not move up, other cabbies will cut you off to grab YOUR fare! We need to address this problems continuously, to solve this and other problems!

do not take over the lease of any taxi from a broker ,they might say you will pay low after the car is paid.But you will be thrown out of the window after you worked hard ,and you will hear this:
the owner has transferred his medallion or sold it.
So if you wanna buy a new car we can finance you one .

This man wants to go newark airport! from 37st and 9th ave !as I explained him the rate ,he said I give 45$ flat ! I said Iam not stealing,this the tlc fair trip to newark!! Then he left with 2 suitcases looking for cheaper ride!! huslers charge 250$

why uber lic plate number is so long !impossible to read or memorize it !!means drivers can duplicate the plates. and have 10 cars under one. plate license.
When someone gets in my cab and I don’t want to go to Newark if they don’t have too much luggage I take them to Penn Station and explain how they can take the train one stop to the monorail. I tell them if they don’t like it they don’t have to pay but I can’t do it. The 2 times I did it they paid and thanked me for teaching them and saving them time and money.
For all Cabs owner and drivers. here in Columbus Ohio – taxi owner are agreed to reduce the taximeter fare from $2.25 to $1.50 and owners line up to change the price. Coustmers are happy and call us for ride after 2 years now is we are busy.Uber drivers are complin and crying one we reduce the price. So guys don’t wait too long until you die. lower the price to compete.
NYC cabbies pay for NYC medallion. Uber doesn’t. We can’t compete by lowering prices.

Dont even get your ass on front seat!! let Brokers and fleet eat Uber.You dont need to stress yourself out for a business that dosent belong to you,its their business they should be stressed out ,not you! be smart ! Your right Jebb. Making $100-150 less per shift. 2-3 hour wait at JFK. No more Bay Ridge,Hoboken etc even Astoria is rare. I bought my last cab. If I can’t lease it then I have to walk away.
Why would anyone should take taxi? I’m saying because it’s convenient! Taxis are everywhere! But why riderships are declining?
I’m saying what my riders told me, the traffic is bumper to bumper, average speed is 4-5 miles per hour in Manhattan! Takes lot more time and cost me more to get to my destination! Unfortunately cabbies are losing lot of riders because of that!
Passengers tell me the screen and partition are annoying. They say it’s a pleasure to get in an uber and not have to listen to the taxi tv and be cramped with a partition. Public uses taxis for short rides only. No more lucrative late night rides.
We could have lot more riders if there is no taxi-TV, no partition, just clean comfortable taxis, just like in Germany, France, Australia,
Sweden, Norway, Hungary and Italy.
Yep CCCabbie but the taxi of tomorrow comes with a partition that can’t be removed so the amended partition rule is meaningless. We are being regulated out of business by the TLC. Uber has them in their pocket. The commissioners are no match for uber. Neither is our mayor. Uber is too tough for them.
medallion owners and lenders has to come together and seize fire, no taxis on the street for a month, and let see how the city will look with Uber, the City don,t care for taxis any more, if we don,t stand up, then our investment will just diminish to zero.
Uber is at LGA airport waiting for our passengers in the main terminal and closer to the terminal than us.That is irrational that the PA allows that. Jose.
Sometimes You drive 45 minutes to one hour in the streets of Manhattan and You do not pick up anybody. You g to Penn Station and You cannot get on line. Same in PABT and GCStation. Busines are really down!!!!
How many advocates are at the TLC who represent taxi drivers and fight for our rights?
One week with no yellows would have them screaming. As an owner i would be willing to give up the money for the cause. I also like the idea of shelving all the handycap cabs. You have to give to get.And god knows how many politicians got big money from Uber.

Passengers use Curb in Manhattan only when Uber is surging then they want us. I don’t respond to Curb hails during Uber surge. F- em.
Yes ,curb is abused by passengers,they only call you within rush hour ,when uber changes color to red like chameleon.
And most of them they want fast ride with 1$ tip.
Curb must charge 10$ booking fee.driver get 5$ and curb get 5$.
Technology is a new way to steal money legaly .
competition serves people for less and better service and not the opposite.
TLC. must price uber milleage ,otherwise taxis can change prices every hour.
Whose cabs get crash tested? Nissan crash tests the NV200, I think. But are the usual partition makers supplying a car to crash test their partition? Who does the testing? The 2013 TLC report to City Council that Nissan had completed Federal safety testing. Yet, we haven’t seen any test results four years later.
